As a specialist educational division operating within the Faculty of Management Studies, EMS concentrates on students' learning needs and related research.

We strive to help students to succeed academically by offering three main educational interventions:

Enriched Management Studies Programme
Integrated Business Studies
Access Programme

Our goal is to help students achieve their full potential and leave as graduates who are well equipped to meet the needs both of the business world and the wider community.

Our Mission

  • To provide optimal learning and development opportunities for students.
  • To help students develop critically reflective approaches to learning, knowledge and practice.
  • To promote the division as a centre of excellence for teaching, curriculum development and relevant research.
  • To enrich our understandings through networking with practitioners and researchers outside the division.
  • To recruit students with high potential to succeed, including those from disadvantaged schools and communities.

Our Values

We strive for openness and transparency, seeking to implement an approach that is democratic, learner-centred and mutually supportive, while being flexible and responsive to change.
